Inverted stem vs larger frame size?
I have a 60cm road bike with an inverted stem in order to get the handle bars high enough. I am 6’3 with a 36.5 inch inseam. Would I be better off with a 63cm frame and a flat stem?
My main problem seems to be hight of handlebars, not reach. I have a 130mm stem on the bike now, and have it inverted so i don’t have neck pain.
Would it be better to have 63cm frame with 1cm more of top tube reach, and a flash stem of about 120mm?
What are the performance issues with each?
I am 6’4″ with a 35-36.5 inch inseam depending on how you measure.
I was supposedly fit by my bike store, but I think they did not do a great job. I bought the bike for centuries not racing.
What is the best thing to do here?
Just to be clear, the handlebars are just barely high enough on my current bike. Removing spacers is the opposite of what I am trying to accomplish.
If the reach is ok i would try a stem with a higher angle to bring the bars up.
